Step by Step Guide: Alert Integration Test with the Dryad API

Testing your API integration ensures your system correctly receives and processes fire alerts and other Silvanet events. The Testing Endpoints feature allows you to simulate real events without triggering actual devices or alerts.

Where to Find It

1. Log in to the Silvanet Site Management Tool
2. From the left navigation menu, select API Integration.
3. Navigate to your Application
4. Open the Endpoints tab
5. Select the Endpoint you want to test, this will expand the configuration

Testing an Endpoint

Click on the Testing tab

From the dropdown menu, choose the event type you'd like to simulate

• For example: alert-event.new, alert.new etc.

Once selected:

• The schema for that event appears
• An example JSON payload is shown, so you know what your system will receive

Click Send Example button to send the message.

After sending a message for an event, if successful, you will be able to see it on the Overview tab.
