After deployment, Wildfire Sensors require a short calibration period to adapt to their new environment. This ensures accurate readings and reliable fire detection.
Step 1 - Understand the Calibration Phase
After first activation, Wildfire Sensors adjust their internal baselines for temperature, humidity, and gas detection.
This typically takes 14 days.
Step 2 - Expect Minor Data Variations
During calibration, readings may fluctuate or appear slightly abnormal.
In some cases, the system may even trigger a fire alert during this period. This is expected and not a cause for concern.
Step 3 - Avoid Unnecessary Relocations
Moving a sensor during calibration will restart the process.
If relocation is unavoidable, expect another 24–48 hour adjustment period.
Step 4 - Monitor via Site Management
Use the Device Data view to watch readings stabilize.
