What is the Deployment App?

The Deployment App is part of the Silvanet Suite developed by Dryad to streamline and manage the deployment of sensors and gateways in the forest. It’s a mobile application designed specifically for field technicians and installers to register, install, and verify Dryad devices during site deployment.

 What the Deployment App Does:

• Device Registration:
  Scan QR codes or use NFC tapping on Silvanet devices (Wildfire Sensors or Gateways) to register them to a specific site.

• Site Mapping:
  Use GPS to mark the exact deployment location of each device. The app shows your position on a map to help place devices accurately.

• Device Mounting Guidance:
  Gives real-time, step-by-step guidance for installing devices, including ideal orientation and placement height (e.g., 3m above forest floor, facing noon sun).

• Connectivity Check:
  Verifies that each gen 2 device connects successfully to the Silvanet Mesh Network and Silvanet Cloud platform.

• Confirmation & Deployment Logging:
  After successful connection and mounting, the app allows you to confirm deployment, which logs the device as active in the system.
