Silvanet Alert Notifications Types
Silvanet automatically monitors your deployed network and sends alert notifications to keep you informed of critical events in real time. These alerts help you respond quickly to potential wildfire threats or network health issues.
There are currently two main alert types in Silvanet:
Fire Alerts – Notify you when a Silvanet Sensor detects early signs of wildfire.
Inactive Device Alerts – Notify Admins when one or more devices in your site stop reporting data.
Fire Alert Notifications
Fire Alerts are the most critical alerts within the Silvanet system. They are automatically generated by Silvanet Sensors when early signs of wildfire are detected.
How It Works
Each Silvanet Sensor continuously monitors environmental conditions such as gas concentrations, temperature, and humidity. When the sensor’s built-in AI algorithm detects patterns indicating the early onset of a wildfire, a Fire Alert is triggered.
Once triggered, the alert is transmitted through the Silvanet Mesh Network to the connected Border Gateway, then sent to the Silvanet Cloud for processing and notification delivery.
How You’re Notified
When a Fire Alert occurs, users are notified through multiple channels:
Email: Includes detailed information such as the site name, alert time, and affected sensor location.
SMS: Provides an immediate notification with a summary of the event and a link to view full details in the Silvanet Site Management App.
Site Management App: The affected site and sensor are clearly highlighted, allowing users to see the alert in context and review associated data such as gas and temperature readings.
What to Do When You Receive a Fire Alert
When a Fire Alert is received:
Open the Silvanet Site Management App.
Review the location and status of the alerting sensor.
Take appropriate action following your site’s response procedures.
Key Benefits
Early wildfire detection through advanced AI analysis
Multi-channel alerts for immediate awareness
Precise location data to support quick field verification and response
Inactive Device Alert Notifications
The Inactive Device Alerts feature in the Site Management App when monitoring your Site, helps ensure the reliability and health of your deployed network by notifying only Admin users when one or more devices become inactive.
These alerts are automatically generated and sent in real time via email and SMS, allowing for quick awareness and response to potential connectivity or power issues in the field.
How It Works
The Site Health Monitoring continuously monitors the operational status of all connected devices. When a device stops reporting data for a defined period of time, it is marked as inactive.
Once this occurs, an Inactive Device Alert is automatically sent to the Admin users of the affected site.
Email alerts include detailed information such as the site name, number of inactive gateways and sensors that became inactive.
SMS alerts contain the name and number of your site and directs you to the Site Management App for more details.
Why It’s Useful
Inactive Device Alerts give Admins an immediate indication that a device requires attention, whether due to energy depletion, network connectivity, or environmental conditions.
This enables faster troubleshooting, reduced downtime, and more reliable data collection from your Silvanet deployment.
Alerts in the Site Management App
In addition to email and SMS notifications, inactive devices are also highlighted within the Site Management App. Admins can quickly see the affected devices when viewing their site, making it easy to investigate and take action.
Key Benefits
Real-time visibility of device status
Faster response to connectivity or power issues
Improved reliability of site monitoring
Automatic alerts delivered via email, SMS, and the Site Management App
