How to Update the Silvanet Deployment App to the Latest Version?

If you don’t have the Silvanet Deployment App yet, follow the guide: How to Install and Set Up the Deployment App before proceeding. 

Steps to Update Silvanet Deployment App

1. Open your app store

   • On Android → Open Google Play Store.

   • On iOS → Open the App Store. 

2. Search for “Silvanet”

   • In the store’s search field, enter Silvanet  to locate the app.

3. Tap “Update” (if available)

   • If there’s a newer version than what you currently have, the store should show an Update button. Tap it to download and install the latest version. 

   • If the app already is the newest version, the button might say Open instead of Update. 

4. Verify the update succeeded

   • After updating, open the app.

   • In version info / “What’s New” section, check you have the latest version (e.g. features like “Gateway Gen 3 deployment using NFC” or “improved cloud upload after offline deployments”) that were recently released. 

5. Grant required permissions (if changed with update)

   • If the new version requests permissions (location, NFC, network) which weren’t required previously, you may need to enable them after the update.
