The Site View in the Silvanet Cloud Platform gives you a complete overview of all devices within a site, including Border Gateways, Mesh Gateways, and Sensors. It allows you to monitor device activity, connectivity, and energy levels, and to view alerts and calibration periods in real time.
1. Site Summary
At the top of the Site View, you’ll find a summary of all device types within the selected site.
Each box shows the total number of devices and separates them into Active and Inactive counts:
Border Gateways – Displays the number of active and inactive border gateways.
Mesh Gateways – Displays the number of active and inactive mesh gateways.
Sensors – Displays the number of active and inactive sensors.
This section provides a quick visual overview of the network health for your entire site.
2. Device Overview
Below the summary, the Device Overview section lists all devices and their statuses. Devices are grouped into four tabs:
Active
Inactive
Calibration
Fire Alert
You can switch between tabs to see detailed device data in a table format.
3. Active Tab
The Active tab shows all devices currently online and communicating with the network.
Each device entry contains the following columns:
| Column | Icon | Description |
|---|---|---|
| Device | Displays a green device icon. Any warnings will appear on top of the icon. An arrow allows you to expand and view detailed graph data. | |
| Name | - | The name assigned to the device (e.g., “Pilot 3 BG 5”). |
| Status | Shows whether the device is Active | |
| Connectivity |
| Displays a four-bar signal indicator (for sensors only) showing connection quality. |
| Energy | Displays the current energy level in percentage. | |
| Firmware Version | - | Shows the firmware version currently installed. |
When expanded, you can view a graph of the device’s energy level over time and access quick actions like Device info and Refresh graph data.
4. Inactive Tab
The Inactive tab lists the inactive devices in the same structure as the Active tab, but:
Device icons are shown in gray.
Devices with alerts display a red warning symbol over the icon.
This allows you to easily identify and troubleshoot offline devices.
5. Calibration Tab
The Calibration tab appears only when new devices have been scanned, registered, and installed at the site.
Devices remain in this tab during their 14-day calibration period.
It helps ensure that newly deployed sensors are performing within expected parameters before moving to active monitoring.
6. Fire Alert Tab
The Fire Alert tab becomes visible only when a fire alert is active.
Selecting this tab displays the sensors that have triggered a fire detection event. It also shows warning-level devices & early alerts, which indicate early signs of anomaly detection before a full fire alert is raised.
The layout mirrors an active tab, providing detailed device data for alert analysis, helping users distinguish between confirmed fire alerts and early warning indicators.
7. Map View
On the right-hand side of the Site View, the map view shows the physical placement of all devices within the site area.
Green icons represent active devices.
Gray icons indicate inactive devices.
Each icon type (border gateway, mesh gateway, or sensor) has its own symbol.
This visual representation helps you quickly identify the location and status of each device across the forest or monitored area.
Summary
The Site View provides a complete, real-time overview of your Silvanet network. From top-level device counts to detailed connectivity, energy, and alert data, it offers the insight you need to manage your deployment effectively.
