Overview
The Silvanet Gen 4 Pro sensor measures air (barometric) pressure as part of its environmental monitoring capabilities. Air pressure data is used together with temperature, humidity, and gas sensing to support forest microclimate analysis and wildfire risk detection.
How Air Pressure is Measured
Air pressure is measured in real time at the sensor location as part of continuous environmental monitoring.
The sensor provides barometric pressure readings (hPa), reflecting local atmospheric conditions at the point of installation.
These values represent ambient environmental pressure, not weather forecasts or predictive meteorological modelling.
Measurement Range
- 300 to 1100 hPa
This range enables reliable operation across a wide variety of environmental conditions, including low-pressure and high-altitude environments.
Accuracy
- ±0.5 hPa
This level of accuracy supports detection of small changes in atmospheric pressure that contribute to understanding local microclimate conditions.
