Planning Overview
Searching your area on the Search section, or you can import KML, KMZ and Shapefiles as a geographical reference.
Shapefiles must be uploaded as a .zip file bundle containing all required components (.shp, .shx, .dbf, etc.).
Views
The planning tool offers multiple views to help visualize and analyze the area effectively. Users can switch between Satellite and Outdoor views, providing different perspectives of the environment.
In addition, the tool includes several feature overlays:
- Terrain View – Displays the topology of the area, highlighting how hills, valleys, and other elevation changes may impact sensor message transmissions. It also identifies areas that may present challenges for deployment, such as steep or difficult-to-access terrain.
- Daily Fire weather Index View – By selecting this overlay, users can see areas classified by their risk of fire, from low to high, allowing for better planning in fire-prone regions. This Fire Danger Forecast is integrated in to our system from Copernicus
Fire Protection Layer – Provides additional context on the estimated detection time of your deployment plan.
The tool also includes essential navigation features, such as zoom in/out controls and a compass, ensuring users can easily explore and orient themselves within the map.
