Planning for best Satellite Connectivity

• The sensor should be mounted at a height of approximately 3m
• It must have a clear line of sight to the horizon with an angle of 20–30 degrees.
• The sensor should not be installed indoors or in locations surrounded by large buildings, as this may obstruct the signal.

Sensor Deployment Orientation

• For best performance and the most accurate environmental data, a south-facing orientation is recommended, preferably in semi-shaded areas.

• If an environmental sensor must be deployed in an area with strong and continuous sun exposure, a north-facing orientation is recommended to help minimise potential impact on measurements.
